Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Slumbervale, Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, U.A.E. ("Slumbervale", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit slumbervale.com (the "Site"), order, or contact us. Questions and requests: contact@slumbervale.com.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, order details, messages, reviews, and newsletter preferences.
- Payment information: payments are processed directly by Shopify Payments or PayPal. We never see or store your full card number; we receive only confirmation of payment and the payment method type.
- Information collected automatically: IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, the pages and products you view, how you arrived at the Site, and actions such as adding to cart, collected through the cookies and pixels described below.
How we use your information
- To process and deliver orders, send confirmations, handle returns under our 90-night sleep trial, and answer your questions.
- To send marketing emails if you signed up or made a purchase; you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email.
- To show you relevant advertising on other websites and social media and measure it.
- To improve the Site, prevent fraud, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Cookies and web pixels
We use the following cookies and web pixels:
- Essential cookies that make the Site work, for example to remember your cart and complete checkout.
- Analytics cookies (Shopify analytics) that show us how visitors use the Site in aggregate.
- Advertising pixels, including the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram). It records events such as page views, add-to-cart actions, and purchases and sends them to Meta Platforms, Inc. with identifiers such as your IP address. Meta uses this data to show you Slumbervale ads and measure them, and may combine it with information it already holds about you under its own privacy policy.
You can control cookies in your browser settings and ad personalization in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences. Where your state's law requires, we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out of targeted advertising and of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with:
- Shopify Inc., which hosts the Site and stores order data.
- Payment providers – Shopify Payments and PayPal – to process payments and prevent fraud.
- Carriers and fulfillment partners, who receive your name, address, phone number, and email to deliver your order.
- Meta Platforms, Inc., for advertising and measurement (under California law this may count as "sharing", which you can opt out of as explained below).
- Email and customer service tools, professional advisers, and authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.
Our providers process data in the United States and other countries and must protect it in line with this policy and applicable law.
How long we keep your information
We keep order records as long as needed to fulfill your order, handle returns, and meet tax and accounting obligations – generally up to seven years after purchase. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe, customer service messages for up to three years, and analytics data in aggregated form.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, and opt out of marketing emails and targeted advertising, including under the privacy laws of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and other states. To exercise them, email contact@slumbervale.com from the address used for your order. We may verify your identity and will reply within 45 days (extendable once where permitted); if we decline, we will explain why and how to appeal. You will never be treated differently for exercising your rights.
California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you additional rights. In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, phone, address, IP address), commercial information (orders), internet activity (pages viewed and interactions with the Site and our ads), approximate geolocation, and inferences. We do not collect sensitive personal information, other than payment details handled by our payment providers.
You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, to delete or correct it, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To opt out, email contact@slumbervale.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information", use our Your Privacy Choices page, or enable the Global Privacy Control in your browser.
Children, security, and changes
The Site is intended for adults; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We protect your information with reasonable security measures, including encrypted connections, although no method is completely secure. We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version is always published on the Site with its "last updated" date, and we will notify you of significant changes.
